SURPRISE! It's day 9125-ish post (of my entire life). Not sure if anyone still visits this blog, but I decided to post a surprising post because today marks my quarter-century. Gosh I thought I would always be forever 19!
First of all, I didn't plan to contemplate anything, let alone to post something on this blog again. But a friend of mine—who shall remain nameless—once upon a day came to me and asked to share '25 things that make me happy'. I don't know for what purpose, but that made me pause and reflect.
Before I share the contemplation, let me tell you what happens today. . .

Day 252
It's fascinating to see how well-travelled people these days. Is it because of airfares that are getting more affordable? Incomes that are getting higher? Or people who are getting more venturesome? Well, it could be all of them. The world now seems smaller and easier to explore. However, there are a few things people tend to overlook before departing to a foreign land.
Day 248
Part of me is darn realistic, but the other part is awfully romantic. Sometimes I wonder how could I be both logical and idealistic. It's like having the best and the worst of both worlds. I am a real life oxymoron.
Day 238
I remember at the beginning of this year I was following a Line series called Nic & Mar on YouTube.
Day 202
Netflix is like garden of Eden for movie-junkies and film-enthusiasts. Unfortunately, this "paradise" is only offered in 'the land of the free and home of the brave' a.k.a. the United States. I don't want to take Netflix for granted, especially given that it is not available in my home country. So I'm cherishing my 'relationship' with it while it lasts.
Day 192
I had never been a fan of economic subject at school. Ask my former high school teacher how many times I had to re-take econ exams just so I could achieve (or rather, "receive") the passing grade. Ok, well, maybe don't ask. Hah. But because I have a favourable judgment of Mr. Gita Wirjawan, I managed to watch his entire talk at Yale School of Management on 'Behavioural Economics: A Perspective from South East Asia' twice. Yes, twice.
Day 184
I watched a number of different stuff today: a movie, a few episodes of The Office and Gilmore Girls. The movie I watched was 'A Brilliant Young Mind' (also known as 'X+Y'). What first got me hooked on to it was the trailer:
Day 181
Last night (or actually, this early morning) I watched a classic film, "It's A Wonderful Life" (1946). I didn't have any expectation before watching it. I became interested when Rej Bourdages of Pixar last week showed one of his favourite scenes from this movie. I thought I should give a black-and-white movie a chance. After all, there's always something charming about old films.
Day 175
Finally, this is my second sketchnotes from Day 2: Animation Masterclass with Andrew Gordon (Pixar's Directing Animator) and a guest speaker Victor Navone (Pixar's Supervising Animator). . .
Day 174
Here it is, my first sketchnotes from Day 1: Story Masterclass with Rej Bourdages (Pixar's Story Artist). . .
Day 137
Now that days are getting colder and windier, it becomes more difficult to get up and be productive.
My routine has become something like:

Day 134
((This is probably another important post I am writing here. Again, I am dividing it into two parts. It's part 1 of "Eventually, everything connects" posts. . .))
Day 133
I think I've been blogging since my teenage years and throughout college. Before this one, I called my old blog 'The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows'. How naive of me. Well, I still am. I have 'shut down' that seven-year-old blog (or more like, let it hibernate) for an indefinite amount of time, but I can still access to my old posts.
I found a post that made me giggle. I decided to re-post it with a few revisions (yeah, I am too lazy to contemplate any topic today—besides, questions help to prompt some contemplation, right?).

Day 116
I take tremendous delight in film discussions, especially if my interlocutor has fascinating views to share. But when I talk about movies, I could be quite. . .let's say, baffling.
Day 109
My sister has this strange fondness for succulents. Each time she goes past the plants section at a supermarket, her eyes will grow bigger, and she will gasp and giddily yell, "gemes banget!!" Ha-ha. What a strange obsession. We all have particular obsession like that too, don't we? Something that gives us chills, butterflies in our stomach, and sudden rush of excitement. Something that makes us more grateful we are still alive to savour it.
