Are you being still or are you moving?

It's a figurative question, by the way.

The past could be familiar, the past could feel safe, and the past could seem secure; but it had been coloured and there's no point of re-colouring it. No matter how much I wish I could return to what's comfortable and stay there, I can't and I'd better not.

On the other hand, the future may seem scary, unfamiliar, unpredictable, and full with uncertainty; but it offers plenty of opportunities to paint, to decorate, or to colour the unknown. There's so much to explore and to experience, and sooner or later, the future will become part of yesterday. I'd better not miss it.
