Day 152

I would say, ever since I got diagnosed with a lifetime incurable disease and ever since we moved to the US, our prayer life as family has been more zealous. We pray alone or together. We listen to each other's doubts and fears. We share God's promises from our Bible reading to build each other up more frequently. This particular season has made us solid and vulnerable at the same time.

Considering the amount of prayer we've voiced, it seemed so strange that God still challenge us:
"Until now you have not asked for anything in my name.
Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete."
— John 16:24

Seriously? Haven't we asked enough, God?

Then my mother chimed in, "You know what? I'm done praying for Copaxone, insurance, green card, financial assistance, et cetera... et cetera... What I really want right now, God, is my daughter to be healthy and happy."

I smiled at her. I pray the same :)

"I also want some grandkids!" she said more eagerly.

Oh, Mama. . . ((facepalm))
