Day 147

What will happen when we are stuck in a rut or getting worn down by life, when all colours seem to turn to grey, or when we are at risk of boredom, weariness, or cynicism?

Today the pastor at our church shared, what most likely happens when we are in any of the circumstances above is God will turn that difficult situation into impossible situation. And that is a good news.

Whoa, hold on. How is 'upgrading' the level from difficulty into impossibility a good news?!

From what I've learned today, when a situation is 'merely' difficult, we will still be looking for a tiny chance to do something to work things out. Yet, once it has become an impossible situation, we will give up our performance, find ourselves at God's feet, and ultimately cry out to Him, "I don't know what to do!"

The way God does things, the pastor said, will make us see that everything is done by His work, not our brilliance.

The good news? I can now stop 'performing', and start relaxing and receiving.
